Extension of the Validity Period of Passports

If the validity period has been restricted on the observation page in the passport, it may be extended under certain circumstances. The applicant must attend in person to submit the application.

Required Documents

 1.     Form “O” (IM 37)

2.     Passport

3.     Current visa in the UK or the Republic of Ireland (E-visa share Code/Residence Permit Card)

4.     Affidavit – Applicants holding Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), Permanent Residence (PR), or Settlement status for one year or more must submit an affidavit* confirming they have not obtained British citizenship. This affidavit must be certified by the Consular Division. Certification fee: GBP 57.
