Special Consular Service

Due to the high demand for consular services, the Sri Lanka High Commission will conduct a special two-day Consular Service for Birth / Citizenship Registration, and New Passport Applications.

Date: - 01 August 2026 & 08 August 2026

Time: - 9.00 to 17.00

Venue: -  Sri Lanka High Commission, Hyde Park Gardens, London, W2 2LU.

Important Instructions:

·        Applicants who have already booked an appointment through the High Commission website Online

         Appointment System are requested to cancel/delete their existing appointment before registering

         for this special consular service.  

·        A separate registration must be submitted for each of the Birth Registration application. 

·         New Passport Applications are accepted only from applicants attending appointment for

          birth registration. 

·        For Birth Registration Service, one parent (the applicant) must be present at the appointment. 

·        For applicants seeking both Birth Registration and Passport Services, both parents and the

         child must be present. 

·        Due to high demand, registrations may close before the registration closing dates, once the available

         appointment slots have been filled. Applicants are therefore strongly advised to register as early

         as possible. 

·        Incomplete registrations or failure to comply with the above requirements may result in delays

          or inability to provide the requested service.
